At the end of the 16th century, a branch of the Sprecher von Bernegg (von Sprecher) family, who were ennobled by King Henry III of France in 1582, settled in Luzein and, over the course of about 100 years, built several stately homes that still characterize the townscape today. One of these houses is the property at Luzeinerstrasse 35.
