Extremely rare mayen to renovate in the heart of the mountains

The Val d'Anniviers and its 220 km of ski runs - often described as the most beautiful valley in the Valais Alps, situated between the Matterhorn and Verbier - boasts the longest ski seasons and the best sunshine in the region.

In summer, there are 320km of magnificent hiking trails to enjoy, with peaks over 4000m, mountain bike trails, high mountain races, paragliding, bungee jumping, via ferrata, swimming pools, wellness facilities and numerous restaurants serving local cuisine.

The slopes of the Grimentz-Zinal ski area come directly to St-Jean. A few minutes by car or post bus is all it takes to reach one of the valley's resorts: Grimentz-Zinal (with 120 km of pistes culminating at 2900 metres and numerous freeride zones), Saint-Luc, Chandolin and Vercorin. Sierre is 20 minutes away and Sion 30 minutes.

Magnificent views of snow-capped peaks, mountain pastures and picturesque villages. The entrance and terrace face due south.

This authentic mayen in need of renovation is secluded and located above the village of Mayoux in the Val d'Anniviers (approx. 40 minutes' walk from Mayoux, 45 minutes from St-Jean d'En Haut).
Accessible by car from St-Jean d'en Haut (approx. 15 minutes), or from Grimentz, the mayen has neither water nor electricity, but a catchment pipe runs some ten metres away and a valve is provided for the water supply. Accessible via forest roads, you'll need a vehicle suitable for mountain pasture roads, and be aware that the road is not cleared of snow in winter.
The property does not have its own parking space, but there are municipally-owned parking spaces around fifteen metres away, and cars can be parked close to the entrance for unloading.

• A cellar


• An attic

Note: It is possible for you to visit the exterior of the property by yourself in order to be able to project yourself. Interior visits are made in my company and only when roads are passable.
