The building is located at a place called "Commeire" on the sunny hillside of the right bank of the Dranse, about 15 minutes by car from the village of Orsières and all its amenities. Located at 1,454 m above sea level, facing due south, the hamlet prides itself on its stone houses, firmly attached to the slope. In the past, 40 to 60 inhabitants lived there mainly from land and livestock. Today, around twenty inhabitants live there year-round. Others stay there occasionally on weekends or during their holidays. Several renovated barns house a hotel structure with the original "Alternative Mountain" concept. There is a bus stop 60 m from the building connecting to Orsières station.
