"I was inspired by the emblematic terraces of Lavaux to design a building that blends harmoniously into the landscape, following the natural lines of the terrain. The gardens and terraces follow one another fluidly and connect gently to the natural terrain, in the spirit of the characteristic vine walls of the region.
Every detail, from the embrasures to the rooflines, subtly incorporates certain architectural codes of winegrowers' houses, without attempting to reproduce them. Mineral tones and a terracotta-colored roof were favored, echoing the built heritage of Chardonne.
Resolutely contemporary, the architecture elegantly fits into its environment and offers a balanced dialogue between tradition and modernity."
