The charming village of Salavaux, located in the district of Broye-Vully, belongs since July 2011 to the large Vaud municipality of Vully-les-Lacs, the result of the merger of 9 previously independent villages of Bellerive, Chabrey, Cotterd, Constantine, Montmagny, Mur, Vallamand, Villars-le-Grand and Salavaux.
