The hotel is located in the old town area of Huttwil, a 5-minute walk from the train station, in one of the most beautiful hiking areas of the Emmental / Oberaargau.

In addition, fishing law practically applies to the entire community of Huttwil.

The hotel was first mentioned in 1469. Since then it has been renovated in many stages and
rebuilt. Since the fire in 1982, the operating concept has been geared towards the hotel industry / room guests.
In the Mohrenkönig restaurant, good traditional cuisine (Switzerland / France) is offered. Workers and businessmen run at noon. In addition to regulars and passers-by, hotel guests also frequent the restaurant in the mornings and evenings.
The hall is used for seminars, dance and major events. With around 15% of sales, the hall is an important branch of business.
