"The Grotto Lauro" still has a very well-known name, as this restaurant was run by the popular restaurateur and artist Aldo Siegel himself for decades.
The building was erected as a grotto in 1972 and presents itself in a neat and typical Ticino ambience, which is what gives this grotto, which is always very personal, so special.
The quiet location in the countryside, on the outskirts of the charming village of Arcegno, is very idyllic and is very much appreciated by locals as well as foreign guests. Although it is slightly hidden at the edge of the forest, the property enjoys excellent sunlight. The beautiful garden with its many different stone tables invites you to linger and enjoy.
There you will find a lounge for approx. 50 guests, a winter garden for approx. 30 guests as well as various cozy terraces and outdoor spaces that can accommodate a further 70 people.
The kitchen is functionally and professionally equipped, and could be "freshened up" as part of a takeover, just like the guest rooms.
The property offers you space for growing vegetables and herbs, which you can use wonderfully in the kitchen. There is also an area for the little ones to play here
