Lausanne is a city in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. It houses the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee, as well as the Olympic Museum and the Olympic Park. Away from the lake, the hilly old town is made up of medieval streets lined with shops and a 12th-century Gothic cathedral with an ornate façade.

The Palais de Rumine, dating from the 19th century, houses the fine arts and science museums. Lausanne is known for its hotel management colleges, EPFL and UNIL.

Lausanne has been a flagship city for Swiss nightlife since the 1990s. A reputation that attracts many lovers of nightlife from all over Switzerland and Europe.

At nightfall, Saint-François, Chaudron, le Flon, rue de Bourg, are transformed and welcome the night owls who will storm the clubs and bars of the Vaud capital.
