Place
The Val-de-Ruz is a wide valley located north of the coastline along the crest of the Jura Neuchâtelois. The commune that bears his name has 20 localities and villages. These are some 16,832 Vrudruzians (31.12.2016) which are scattered over the 128 km² area of the municipality.

Today residential area between Littoral and Val-de-Ruz, Montmollin was once a holiday resort much appreciated by the Neuchâtel bourgeoisie. Located at 772 m altitude, approx. 8 km from Neuchâtel, the village is a former municipality became a locality of the new municipality of Val-de-Ruz after the merger of 2013.

The agglomeration is located on the road to La Tourne which connects Neuchâtel to Ponts-de-Martel and public transport, close to the property, give direct access to Locle or Neuchâtel.

For children, the primary school takes place at the college of Montmollin (Chemin des Puits 8) from the 1st to the 2nd child and from the 1st to the 6th primary, from 6 to 11 years or 3rd to 8th Harmos. Transportation is organized to bring children to sports facilities dedicated to gymnastics and swimming pool. The children of the hamlets of Montézillon (commune of Rochefort) and Serroue (Corcelles-Cormondrèche) are generally also schooled in Montmollin.
