Villa under construction, distribution of rooms and materials at the option of the lessee
Brignon is a charming village located on the right bank of the Printse.
At the site of the Château de Brignon restaurant stood a watchtower in the Middle Ages. Pierre II of Savoy who had authority over the region of Nendaz at that time and who was in conflict with the bishop of Sion decided, in 1261-1262, to build a dungeon there for the protection of the lands located on the right bank of the Printse. The strategic location made it possible to monitor the valley and to communicate by signals with the Tour de Conthey in the Rhône valley. The castle was demolished only a few years after its construction for financial reasons. Its ruins are still clearly visible.
The first stone of the Brignon chapel was laid in 1987 in the form of a cassette-archive sealed in concrete which contains information on the life of the village. The chapel's blessing took place on October 23, 1988 and it was dedicated to Our Lady of Hope.
