Prafenne, (composed of Pra, "meadow", and probably the derivative of Latin fenum "hay") is a hamlet in the town of Monthey. It takes only 15 minutes to reach the city.

Below 1000 meters altitude, the hamlet is inhabited by several families resident year round; the nature, the calm, the sight and the song of the birds reign there in master.
