The Val d'Anniviers with its 220 km of ski slopes - often described as the most beautiful valley in the Valais Alps, located between the Matterhorn and Verbier - has the longest ski seasons and the best sunshine in the region.

St-Jean is one of its villages, with the authentic charm of the Anniviers. The slopes of the Grimentz-Zinal ski area reach St-Jean directly. A few minutes by car is enough to reach one of the valley's resorts: Grimentz-Zinal (with 120 km of slopes culminating at 2900 metres), Saint-Luc, Chandolin and Vercorin. Sierre is 20 minutes away and Sion 30 minutes.

In summer, there are magnificent hiking trails to be explored while admiring the 4000m peaks, mountain bike trails, high mountain races, the Via Ferrata...
