Feel-good oasis in Zeneggen

Zeneggen is located in Upper Valais on a sunny viewing platform - above the Rhone and Visper valleys at the foot of the Moosalp - in the middle of an impressive high mountain landscape. In the north, it borders directly on the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn area, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the south on the highest peaks of the Valais Alps. The location is very sunny and quiet, the view is fantastic and unobstructed. The post bus stop is in the immediate vicinity.
Zeneggen has one of the most valuable natural landscapes in Switzerland. The structurally diverse terrain of extensively used lean meadows and fields, in addition to dry steppes, forest edges and rocky zones at different altitudes and expositions, is home to numerous endangered animal and plant species: the biodiversity of songbirds, butterflies and alpine flowers is particularly worth mentioning. The numerous wooden stables or warehouses, dry stone walls and bisses (historical irrigation systems) are essential elements of this traditional cultural landscape.
Zeneggen has a modern village infrastructure with kindergarten, primary school, multi-purpose hall and connection to public transport. Tennis facilities, playground and barbecue area enrich the extensive possibilities in summer (hiking, Nordic walking, mountain biking) and in winter (winter hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding) for sport and relaxation in the midst of an intact nature.
