Living at heights

5 january 2021 - It's like being in Dubai, New York or London. And yet, it is at the gates of Freiburg South that an emblematic building will soon see the light of day: The Beaumont Tower. Born from a daring architectural gesture, the 17-storey building will culminate 60 metres in the heart (south side) of the Beaumont district. Boasting spectacular views, the 45 flats with hotel services are available for sale on plan. The lucky owners will be able to move in from autumn 2023.

Living at heights

Easily accessible on foot, by public transport or by car, the Beaumont district - currently undergoing a major redevelopment - benefits from all essential infrastructures. Located just a few minutes from the SBB railway station and the city centre of Fribourg with all its amenities, this district has its own primary school (école de la Vignettaz), local shops, a post office and a pharmacy. From the "Châtelet" stop 50 metres from the Tower, the TPF bus takes residents to the station in only 4 minutes (frequency every 8 minutes). The motorway can also be reached in 4 minutes and allows the towns of Bern (35 minutes) and Bulle (25 minutes) to be reached quickly.

Modernity and luxury combined

The Tower is intended for a variety of activities: on the lower ground floor there is a shopping mall of more than 1000 m2 then, on the upper ground floor, the main entrance of the hotel***+, the Courtyard by Marriott, and its hotel service, as well as its 70 seat restaurant, two conference rooms and fitness centre. The 88 Mariott rooms are spread over the first four floors. The 5th floor is dedicated to administrative areas for sale. The lower levels are dedicated to the technical rooms and the car park, with a capacity of 100 spaces. The 12 upper floors comprise 45 flats from 3½, 4½ and 6 rooms, all characterised by generous volumes (ceiling height of 2.57 metres). Separate entrances and lifts provide access to the hotel as opposed to the flats; parking level -3 is exclusively reserved for the condominium. Each flat, thanks to its large bay windows (triple glazing) and its large terrace with double orientation, offers a breathtaking view of the Fribourg Pre-Alps, the Pont de la Poya and/or the Zaehringen city, as well as, on the upper floors, the Jura peaks. In addition, the flats have access to the pleasant roof terrace. The owners will no longer have any excuse not to watch the sunset!

Thanks to the sale on plan, each buyer has the possibility to personalise their property according to their specific tastes and needs. But the project goes even further: the interior layout can be modulated at will (subject to technical reservations). "The same surface area of a flat can become a 3.5 room or 4.5 room flat. The 6 rooms can be divided into two flats (3.5 rooms + 2.5 rooms)," explains Laurent Chappuis, founder and director of Proxiland Real Estate SA. The kitchens and bathrooms are also variable in layout". The private individual therefore buys square metres and has complete freedom to distribute the bedrooms, the two bathrooms and the kitchen as he or she sees fit.

A cellar is allocated to each flat and additional space in the basement is available for sale. A wide range of options are available to the owners: integration of equipment for people with reduced mobility, installation of a home automation system, sound system concept, use of an interior decorator, etc. For these superior-quality homes, the designers paid particular attention to the quality of the materials and equipment, as well as to soundproofing (increased SIA 181 standards). In order to set an example in terms of sustainable development, La Tour Beaumont has been awarded the Minergie® label and is connected to district heating.

Hotel services for optimal comfort

Our pace of life is often so intense that it becomes difficult to devote oneself fully to one's children and/or work, especially with the increasing practice of home office. Relaxing moments are also becoming increasingly rare. Courtyard by Marriott comes to the rescue of the owners of La Tour Beaumont by offering them an à la carte hotel concierge service. Their daily life will be freed from household, administrative and logistical constraints. Laurent Chappuis explains: "This service includes many services, such as booking a good restaurant, meal delivery, finding a babysitter, dog walking, chauffeur service to the airport or elsewhere, etc. Routine housekeeping can also be provided, such as picking up the mail and receiving parcels, watering plants during the holidays or regular cleaning of the flat. Finally, the hotel service - thanks to its network of specialised partners - will take care of finding a meeting room or even a translator if necessary. Whatever the requests, Courtyard by Marriott takes care of everything! ».

The price of the flats (from CHF 950'000.-) is set directly by the developer, with a forward sale. A team of professionals accompanies the buyers from the first appointment to the handing over of the keys. This procedure ensures total control of the project and its realisation. At Proxiland Real Estate SA, all the skills are brought together to save future owners time and guarantee them a serene entry into their magnificent home!
