The municipality Strengelbach is located in the southwestern part of the canton and forms with the district capital Zofingen practically a closed settlement area.

Around 1600 Strengelbach was a pure peasant settlement with about 150 inhabitants. For the first time in 1960 there were over 3,000 and today there are more than 4,700 inhabitants.

Thanks to its convenient location at the motorway junction in Switzerland and the good connections to the train, the major centers of Aarau, Bern, Basel, Zurich and Lucerne are quickly and easily accessible.
