Hyper city center and undeniable charm
In an emblematic building in the City Center, typical of the bourgeois Geneva architecture of the early twentieth century, this splendid apartment is spread over a beautiful area of approximately 146 m2, on a gable and a few steps from the shores of the lake.
Built between 1902 and 1903 by architects Eugène Cavelli and Ami Golay, "La Maison des Paons" is striking with its Art Nouveau style. The architects nevertheless gave it a personalized and unique touch, specific to the Swiss spirit.
All of the facade sculptures, originally made by the artist Emilio Domenico Fasanino, were the subject of a meticulous restoration work in 2014, allowing the building to once again become one of the most beautiful buildings in Geneva. .
The magnificence of the building also strikes the eye as soon as you enter its entrance. Restored in the style of the time, the painted decorations on the walls of the vestibule, the entrance hall and the staircase have retained all their delicacy and the liveliness of their original tones.
These many architectural qualities enabled the "Maison des Paons" to be recognized and included in the heritage inventory of the State of Geneva in 1986.
The apartment itself is located on the 4th floor of this prestigious building.
It's made of :
- a large entrance hall;
- a spacious and bright gabled living room with a decorative fireplace;
- a fully equipped kitchen;
- a large bedroom with wall cupboards;
- an office / bedroom;
- a dressing room;
- two shower rooms.
A cellar in the basement conveniently completes the set.
