The commune of Leuk is the capital of the district of Leuk. It has the particularity of extending on both banks of the Rhone. Its vineyard produces some of the largest Valaisian wines, among them the Petite Arvine (Château Lichten), the Pinot Noir (Reijjen), and the Fendant.
