Today considered a reference in artisanal ice cream in French-speaking Switzerland, Manu Gelato was born first and foremost from a passion.
That of Emanuele Zanchi, who discovered the world of ice cream at a very young age during summers spent by the sea in his native Italy. Simple, yet deeply formative memories that years later would give birth to a true life project: to transmit an emotion, a memory, and a moment of happiness through ice cream.
After several years in finance between Italy and abroad, Emanuele decided to leave everything to devote himself entirely to this universe that has fascinated him since childhood. For many months, he traveled, studied, and met artisans and producers to perfect his know-how and develop his own recipes.
The Manu Gelato adventure began in 2011 with the opening of the first shop at Rue de Carouge 65 in Geneva.
Given the success of the concept, several new locations quickly emerged in French-speaking Switzerland.
In 2018, Andrea Guglielmone Pasquini joined the project to support the development and structuring of the brand.
After studying economics and a first entrepreneurial experience in the world of children's fashion, Andrea brings to Manu Gelato a vision focused on development, brand image, and network growth.
In 2020, Andrea and Emanuele became partners and launched the development of the franchise network with a first opening in Lausanne.
To support this growth, a new production laboratory was inaugurated in April 2021.
Today, Manu Gelato has:
? 6 directly managed shops
? 7 franchised shops
? 1 partner kiosk exclusively distributing Manu Gelato products
The brand is also starting to develop its B2B activity through a first collaboration with a distributor.
