Servion is a new commune regrouping the villages of Les Cullayes and Servion. Located in the district of Lavaux-Oron, only 17 kilometers from Lausanne, it covers 633 ha of which 107 ha of forests. Its population is 1,906 individuals. The main attraction of the city is its zoo with an ornithological and herpetological park, a large aviary, a tropical greenhouse and large terrariums with exotic trees and plants. The zoo is also home to the Tropiquarium, rich in tropical fauna and flora. A pavilion devoted to renewable energies is also installed there. The famous Café-Théâtre Barnabé created in 1965, which was once a bar, has its regulars. It records nearly 40,000 entries each year. Servion has a fanfare baptized Fanfare du Jorat.
