ROUGEMONT

Officially recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland in 2017, the village of Rougemont, nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, just 10 minutes by car from Gstaad, enjoys a central location close to the main ski resorts and Swiss cities.
The origin of Rougemont goes back to the religious order of Cluny which received this land in 1080 from the Count of Gruyère. In 1569, the priory was replaced by the Château de Rougemont, which became the residence of the bailiffs of Bern, successors of the Count of Gruyère. The region was integrated into the canton of Vaud in 1798. The canton is home to the cities of Montreux, Vevey and the Olympic capital, Lausanne. The territory of the municipality of Rougemont extends along the banks of the Sarine, in a wooded and mountainous region.

THE SITUATION

Over the centuries, local artisans have built typical wooden chalets whose south-facing facades have been painted with symbols recalling the names of the chalet owners and their families. The villagers cultivate the land, manufacture traditional objects and perpetuate a culinary heritage, the tastiest symbol of which is the "Tomme de Rougemont".
Rougemont's famous neighbor is the resort of Gstaad, which attracts the international jet-set. Its exceptional restaurants, nightlife and events with global reach make Gstaad a place to discover all year round. The two villages are located in the same ski area with more than 250 km of slopes and with 58 ski lifts. 165 km of cross-country ski trails complete the winter offer. Ski resorts such as Les Diablerets, Leysin, Gryon, Villars or Les Mosses can be reached in a short time from Rougemont. The Glacier 3000, halfway between Les Diablerets and Rougemont, welcomes snow lovers all year round. The area also offers a full selection of other winter sports besides skiing, such as cross-country skiing, sledding, dog sledding, ice skating, hot air balloon rides, etc.
The region is also a wonderful place for summer vacations. The destination, with more than 300 km of trails and footpaths, is a true paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Typical sports activities such as mountain biking, rafting, canoeing, summer tobogganing, cycling, swimming and paragliding are a must in Rougemont! Summer and winter alike, Gstaad's promenade is one of the favorite destinations for Swiss and international tourists to relax, shop, dine in one of its many restaurants and attend outdoor parties. The promenade is only accessible on foot. Century-old chalets, magnificent flowers, fountains and fresh air make it a world famous address. The 18-hole Saanenmöser golf course and the 18-hole Gruyère golf course in Pont-la-Ville, located 15 minutes and 45 minutes drive from Rougemont respectively, are two of the most beautiful alpine golf courses in the country.

THE RESIDENCES OF ROUGEMONT

The Rougemont residences benefit from the proximity of the main airports in Switzerland: Bern, Zurich and Geneva. Saanen aerodrome, accessible by private jets and air taxis, is located just a 5-minute drive from Cerf Rouge. Rougemont is also on the MOB GoldenPass railway line famous for its panoramic trains connecting Montreux to Zweisimmen. The apartment is part of the PPE Résidence de Rougemont directly annexed to the Hôtel de Rougemont. Residents can take advantage of the optional services provided by the Hôtel de Rougemont. The residences are directly accessible by the main entrance of the hotel or by the elevator of the private underground car park. The Hotel and the residences are a short walk from the train station and village center. The apartment, whose neighboring properties are mostly family chalets, is located on a residential street with very little traffic and an extraordinary view of the Alps.

Built in 2014 at the same time as the Hôtel de Rougemont, this superb apartment is on the ground floor of a Swiss chalet-style property made entirely of wood, stone and copper.
The apartment benefits in particular from 160 square meters of terrace offering a breathtaking view of the Alps. A jacuzzi in the garden also allows you to enjoy the view in all serenity. The interior design of the apartment is designed in warm colors and materials and has been thought out with great attention to detail. The main living space has a sitting area with fireplace and a dining area separated from the kitchen by sliding glass doors.
