The commune of Cuarnens
Cuarnens is a small village of about 435 inhabitants located at the foot of the Jura. Ideally located on the road which leads from Cossonay to the Vallée de Joux, this town has kept its cachet of yesteryear. Its houses built on either side of the Venoge
give it this picturesque and typical aspect of the country village.

In addition to agriculture, the development of Cuarnens is intimately linked to the “la Venoge” river, along which there have been up to four paddlewheels giving energy to various sawmills or mills. The village has been changing since 2012
and reconstruction. Its population has grown from 379 inhabitants in 2008 to 435 today
