The locality of L'Abergement lies at the foot of a hill that shelters it from the wind, while it is protected from the wind by the wooded hill. From the villa area at the top of the village, there is an extensive view of the Plateau and the Alps.

The village is served by the Orbe-Baulmes PostBus line. The two nearest railway stations are Baulmes and Orbe. The entrance to the A9 motorway is just minutes away.
