The restaurant Eintracht

Büchslen was located on the important connecting road Bern-Lausanne. In the 19th century, traffic increased sharply. This gave Peter Spack, a respected citizen of Büchslen, the idea to build an inn with a food and grocery store on this busy street. His plans failed first because of popular resistance. One feared with the restaurant to promote the alcoholism. Peter Spack's first petitions for a patentee were denied. But his house construction was granted. In 1890 he receives from the Council of State of the Canton against the will of the municipal council the permit for the operation of his economy "Eintracht" granted for one year. Subsequently, the permit was renewed for 5 years. In 1901, Heinrich Schönenberger acquired the business. The population was happy for the village shop and the economy with its bowling alley became a popular meeting place for locals and was used by transit traffic brisk as a rest stop. There is ample parking available, which is why the restaurant was known and stayed among the truckers until it found no leaseholder for several years.
After the Eintracht was closed for six years, it was reopened in March 2017. As a new host, a well-known hit singer took over the business. It relies on a cozy ambience and on home-style cuisine with regional products and good value for money. The restaurant also has a games room with billiards, darts, cash games and a toddler box. There is a lot of life music offered.
