Daillens is a municipality in the canton of Vaud. It is populated with approx. 920 inhabitants. Its 549-hectare territory lies in the Gros-de-Vaud district.
This area is broken down into: 79 ha of housing and infrastructure, 359 ha of agricultural land, 110 ha of wooded land and finally 1 ha of unproductive areas (lakes and streams).
It shares borders with Eclépens, Ulens-sous-Échallens, Bettens, Bournens, Penthaz, Penthalaz and Lussery-Villars.
The southern border of the town is marked by the valley dug by the brook of Malomba which then flows into the Venoge.
To the north, the territory climbs gradually to reach the highest point of the commune with 590 meters of altitude on the hill of La Vernette. The eastern border is marked by the stream of Pra Gouma while that of the west follows the channeled course of the Venoge.
In addition to the village of Daillens, the town still has several scattered farms.
Lausanne is about 20 minutes by car and 30 minutes by public transport. The EPLF / UNIL are 12 minutes and Morges 15 minutes by car. Shops in the village, or shopping centers in Crissier 10 minutes.
